Our Paper Presentation

Our paper, Multivariate Geographic Clustering in a Metacomputing Environment Using Globus by Mahinthakumar, Hoffman, Hargrove, and Karonis, was presented by Kumar in the Wednesday morning (November 17, 1999) session on Grid Computing at SuperComputing '99 (SC'99) in Portland, Oregon. Kumar did a great job presenting.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Booth

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) had a large and interesting display booth on the show room floor at SuperComputing '99 (SC'99) in Portland, Oregon, in November 1999. The displays included results from computational science research from all over ORNL. Included in the displays was the map of U.S. ecoregions developed by Hargrove and Hoffman using Multivariate Geographic Clustering on the Stone SouperComputer.

SC'99 Extreme Beowulf Bash

Here are a couple of photos from the First Annual Extreme Beowulf Bash held at SC'99 on November 15, 1999, at the Portland Hilton. The party was organized by Douglas Eadline of Paralogic, Inc., and was sponsored by Paralogic, Inc., Etnus, SCA, Scyld Computing Corporation, and Microsoft Research. See Doug's Notes from SC99 for more information and photos.
